Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) will spend between $33 million and $38 million in severance and other expenditures related to its 600-person layoff on Tuesday, according to an SEC filing. That comes out to as much as $63,333 per worker, which is in line with the average per-employee expense it incurred as part of its last mass layoff in early 2009. The costs will be offset by $4 million to $6 million in stock-based compensation expense reversals for forfeited stock-based awards.
