Apple's Jobs Makes Surprise Appearance; Updates iOS Progress

Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) CEO Steve Jobs made a surprise appearance at an event that?s expected to see the launch of the iPad 2, as he updated attendees on Apple?s progress in the mobile computing market.

Apple sold 15 million iPads in 2010, and has now sold 100 million iPhones, Jobs said. Apple also now has 200 million accounts signed up through its variety of online stores, such as the iTunes Store and the iBooks store. Around 100 million books were sold through the iBooks store, and there are now 2,500 publishers selling books on the store.
