'Technobabylon - Part 1' Game Sends You to Your Room Without Dinner

One room -- that's all. This week's gaming picks limit you to the claustrophobic confines of four-walled spaces, but don't shy away from these enclosed experiences. Although being stuck in one room may seem limiting, it's the perfect setting for some quick, bite-sized gaming to get you through your lunch break.

'Technobabylon - Part 1' is a thin slice of sci-fi adventure goodness, perfectly sized for half an hour of puzzle-solving pleasure. In this PC-only download, you play a young woman named Latha who wakes from the addictive cyberworld of the "Trance" to find herself mysteriously locked into her grimy, futuristic apartment. You'll need to whip out your classic adventure-gaming logic to make your escape, which will involve picking up every thing that isn't nailed down (and a few things that are). You won't be strictly limited to your filthy pad, though, as you jump in and out of the Trance to overcome a few puzzles. Anyone well-versed in classic LucasArts adventure games like 'Monkey Island' will feel right at home with 'Technobabylon's' old-school graphics and gameplay. As is seldom the case with the brain-bending classics of adventure gaming, though, you'll be able to finish this one without the aid of a walkthrough.
